Our client is a fast-paced, professional, entrepreneurial IT business. As an end user solution provider, they specialise in consultancy, sales, integration and support, offering leading solutions for business continuity, disaster recovery, managed Wi-Fi, network and user security, IP infrastructure, VoIP, Real Time location services and much more. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join their team.
If you're a driven, tenacious and enthusiastic customer focused support professional, this high profile, hands-on role is for you.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for systems design, implementation and subsequent support. This role will involve travel to and from client locations around the UK.
In addition to providing technical support, this varied role will comprise sales support and project management. You will also provide on-site critical and non-critical account troubleshooting, maintenance and problem resolution management.
Your other duties will include:
- Providing technical sales support, including product demonstration and seminar support
- System design, ensuring any proposed solution meets or exceeds client expectations
- Co-ordinating resources to meet or exceed clients' expectations of solution implementation and deployment
To be considered for this position, you must have proven IT support experience.
Experience with one or more of the following is also essential:
- Business Continuity
- Disaster Recovery
- VMware
- Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008
- Storage Area Networks
- Indoor or Outdoor Wireless (Wi-Fi) Networking
- IP based LANs, WANs and VoIP
As an IT Support Engineer, you must have excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach. Excellent communication skills and plenty of initiative are also key.
