Bromley College is spread over 2 campuses and mathematics plays a vital role in the development of learning across both sites. The successful candidate will be a highly effective, experienced and successful practitioner. They will be familiar with the new government focus on the development of mathematical skills and the associated national initiatives. In their capacity as co-ordinator, they will have responsibility for the expansion of mathematics delivery at level 2 (GCSE and Functional Skills) across both sites, and possibly with some responsibility for level 3.

The post holder will report to the Curriculum Manager and make a considerable contribution to operational priorities of the College and to its aim to provide outstanding quality and responsiveness in teaching, learning and curriculum design and delivery. The post holder will have successful experience as a teacher, (school backgrounds most welcome), with wide knowledge and experience of planning, organising and delivering a diverse and creative curriculum. They will be able to confidently lead and coordinate the work of teams and individuals to meet challenging targets and to develop innovative new ways to meet changing needs and expectations of students and employers. They will have a good understanding of the use of ILT in education and training and they will be able to confidently and cost-effectively use resources and management information to drive forward success and achievement.
