Just three days after the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray debuted at the Detroit Auto Show, two images of the pending 2014 Corvette Convertible have leaked on the web, well ahead of a rumored debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Corvette convertible shares styling cues from the shoulder line down, but the sleek Stringray back has been sliced off and a heavily sculpted trunk put in its place. Presumably the converitible 'Vette retains the fabric top from previous versions. Whether the roof is hard or soft, the car certainly wears the top-down look well.
Update:?When contacted for comment, Corvette spokesman Monte Doran denied the authenticity of the images, stating "What I can tell you is these are not offical images released by Chevrolet PR. There's a lot of speculation out there about what the convertible might look like, but you'll just have to wait until we release our own images to see how close these might be." Feel free to interpret that however you like.
